It all started about three years ago when i joined the junior high football team. During my first season of play i was the starting linebacker it was a routine game against our all time rivals Benton. The third play of the game it was a punt return as i was retreating back for the ball i felt something pop in my ankle and immediatley hit the ground. The pain was so tremendous that i past out and woke two hours later in the emergency room with a docter in my face asking me if i could feel pain. The injury i sustained was a torn Achilles tendon. After having a major reconstructive surgery i was put in Physical Therapy for two months. This is when I found my niche from that point on I knew I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. I just wished I could have found my person niche with a little less pain involved.

The Influence of Third World Countries.
May 13th, 2009 by ryan61
Studying third world countries I learned that the world is cruel. If there is one thing you cannot control and that is the acts of people some people are born to cause destruction and terror. I know now how easy we have it in America were we are free and not forced to follow someone or a group that controls your every move. I Believe That America needs to help a little just to get the country back on their feet and move on. If we just keep helping them they will soon try to rely on the US to get them out of all their messes. But for a country going under things like genocide we should completely step in and solve the problem. Watching the movie on the genocide of Rwanda opened my eyes to the outside world I just wished it would open the eyes of everyone else.
Do Bryant Students know anything about third world countries?

Hotel Rwanda Movie Review
Apr 21st, 2009 by ryan61
Hotel Rwanda is a tragic story of a man trying to survive the harsh war between the Hutu and the Tutsis. Paul Rusesabagina (Don Cheadle) the manager of the MIles Collines hotel shelters over a thousand Hutu and Tutsis refugees while at the same time trying to keep him and his family alive. At first, Rusesabagina is in denial afraid of getting involved and ignorant enough to believe that peace between the Hutus and the Tutsies is underway. Rusesabagina watches his neighbors getting draged out of their home and beaten simply cause of their identity. At first Rusesabagina knows that he can do nothing to help anyone but his own family. As the movie continues Rusesabagina learns that it is his duty to keep all the people he can alive. Don Cheadles acting in the movie is outstanding he keeps you on your toes through every scene. The director Terry George does a good job adding every detail he can from the real life tradgedy. Over all it is a terrific movie i recommend this to everyone.

Culture of Haiti
Apr 14th, 2009 by ryan61
The people of Haiti also know as “Haitians” are a very friendly society. Their tradition for hospitality is clear in how they treat guests or go out of their way to help strangers. Making ends meet is hard for Haitians their main goal in life is to send their kids to college so the future generation will have a better life. And the fact of being the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere makes this goal a difficult one. Recreation in Haiti is mainly focused around soccer. Streets are empty if an important regional or world match is being televised. Children begin to play soccer at an early age.. Adult soccer stars are extremely popular among people of all ages. Traveling in is similier to that of big cities in the United States. For short distances, most Haitians travel by foot. In cities, they may also ride buses or taxis. The food in Haiti Is pretty much the same everyday which is something i really do not like i love variety in my food. Just rice and beans everyday sounds like it would get so old.
